Dear Jim,
I use two Yaesu SP-8 loudspeakers next to the Mark V (great look!). The same
speakers I use for the ProII with 'INPUT A or B'. Left speaker = ProII,
right speaker = Mark V. Or: left and right speaker both to the ProII, or
both to the Mark V. This works great and gives terrific audio!
What you mentioned is a good solution too. Buy a SP-21. It looks good next
to your ProII. But replace the loudspeaker with a high quality loudspeaker
(special for voice communications, such as Peiker). And put cotton-wool in
the SP-21. Just fill-up the cabin with cotton-wool. This highly improves the
quality of the SP-21.
Good luck and 73!
Hans.
