[Icom] IC-32W HT and msg. SUB MUTE

Suddenly, can't transmit audio on the VHF band - Transmits ok, but no audio 
and get the msg SUB MUTE on the screen
when I key up on any 2 meter frequency.
Seems to work ok on 70 cm ??

What gives - only had this ht for 3 days and can't find anything in the 
manual about this.
