I do not know how much that helps you. George Heron just posted to the
QRP-L list today in reply to some people looking for 1N34's. He said that
he often buys 1N34's from American Semiconductor at
http://www.americanmicrosemi.com . I was just on their site but they have
no pricing. I wondered if it was not like USBid where they have some high
line item minimum (USBid is $300 per item!) but I just sent them a message
to see how much some transistors would cost and if they have a minimum.

If you are looking for sources, Dans Small Parts (
http://www.danssmallpartsandkits.net/ ) in Missoula, MT. has the 40673's as
does ACK Supply (www.AckSupply.com). I do business with Ack. I bought some
CA3020's from them for the EP3 transceiver. I also just bought what they
had in the way of 40821 and 40822 dual gate mosfets. The 40673 is listed as
$6.15 each and they have 6 of them. They also have the 3N211 which is a new
version at $6.75 each and they have 24 of them. Dan is listing 3 of the
40820's for $12.50 or $5 each. The 40820, 40821, 40822, and 40841 are
equivalent to the 40673 as are several of the 3N numbered parts.

I have no affiliation with any of these places but have done business with
both Ack Supply and Dan's and they both provide a good service.

I hope this helps you.

Good luck.

Jim Pruitt
