split -- Abercrombie has essentially thise zip codes of 968xx, Mink has

Perhaps you overlooked the following within Warren's message:"But there is
much more to do before the bill even comes close to final passage.
Senatorial sponsor(s) are needed for the bill to even get started in the
"upper house" in Washington DC."What added point are you trying to make?
Obviously the billgoes over to the NEXT congress, as nothing will be donein
the next busy weeks in Washington -- ALL the appropriationbills are yet to
be delt with, hi. And, of course, we hopefor a companion bill up in the
Senate. That was part of Warren's message; I read it that way anyway.I
admire Warren for doing what he can to keep this thing going...even if on
into the next Congressional term.73, Jim KH7M

Agreed. We (amateur citizens of Hawaii) need to contact our Senators
Akaka and
Inouye and press for parallel Senate support. If a senate bill hasn't
been created,
  we should press for it.

I know Senator Akaka is personally familiar with amateur
radio involvement with Hurricane Iniki, as I personally spoke with him at
the
SCD bunker immediately after Iniki. I believe it was the Sunday morning,
9/13/92.
If Senator Akaka is your senator, please remind him of it. He might be
inclined to
sponsor it. I believe his district includes Kauai.
