Thanks Glen,
Took your suggestions and added some.

Replaced with good 6AU6.. All needed voltages are present.
Checked band switching actuator and cam alignment.
Sprayed all contacts on band,vfo/crystal & phone/cw switches with dioxit.
 It works fine when crystals are selected but not in the vfo position.
 This may means I'l need to go inside to troubleshoot..
Not a pleasant task from what I hear. 

  Funny, it was working fine a few days ago.
