[Heathkit] TT-1 Case Recovering

I have a TT-1A case that after structural repairs will need recovering if
the proper covering can be located.  It seems to be some type of TOLEX
material but will have to be thin to enable gluing around corners.  A lot of
the material available on line is too thick.  I can also remove all the
material and after making the necessary repairs, sand, paint, and clear coat
the wood in black while adding new white piping.

 

Thoughts anyone?
