Hi Ronnie,

Fortunately there ARE "saviours" out there who will come to the aid of us mere mortals when it comes to fixing-up these things---for a price. But don't despair just yet!

Those "SB" dials are to Heathkit what the PTOs are to Drake: these weak links in a pair of otherwise very strong chains are issues enough to drive an otherwise sober man very quickly to drink...and I speak from experience, too (NOT the drinking part, mind you, but the part about having had issues with BOTH marques! Hi Hi).

Just slowly make the effort to get that drive back into place, jimmy it about, then re-tighten the nut. And take it as a given right from the get-go that it will NOT fall into place on the very first try, either! Nothing worth having ever comes easy, Ronnie---remember these famous words of Frederick Nietzche as inspiration: THAT WHICH DOESN'T KILL US ONLY SERVES TO MAKE US STRONGER... : >)
