Jerry,

I know you have the SB-301.  Just as long as you are going to 
interconnect the two, AND operate them as a connected pair, then the 
frequency for the SB-401 will be determined by the SB-301 when the mode 
switch is placed in the proper one using transceive and ensuring, that 
the frequency determining piece of equipment is the SB-301.

Take your time, and read BOTH manuals.  Make some dry runs.  Connect 
according to the manual for the way that makes the 301 the determining 
piece.  Power up and listen.  Tune around and change band - FOLLOWING 
the manual(s) - All before you go hot and begin to transmit.

You want to play enough that it is in your mind EXACTLY what steps are 
needed.  You'll do just fine.

Go slow and relax.
