6GE5s are very cheap and very easy to find.
Antique Electronic Supply (AES) has hundreds of them for
$5.00 each.

I bought a package of 4 ea for $5.00, shipped, off Ebay
sometime ago. They were brand-new still in the original
boxes.
I haven't had to use any of those yet.
Heathkit used a pair of 12GE5s as the final amp tubes in
their single-banders HW-12,22,32, and they ran 200 watts
PEP input. I used an HW-12 for many years and never had
to replace a single final.
The 12GE5s are $2.60 each from AES, and even cheaper
off Ebay.
As I said, cheap, plentiful, and reliable.
If all else fails, you could add a small Radio Shack 12.6
VAC, 1 amp transformer under the deck, rewire, and plug a
12GE5 into the socket.
