[Heathkit] peeling paint on cabinet 90-337, coindidence?

Hi Dick,
I have had several of those cabinets and have not seen any peeling paint.
Lots of chips and gouges. For a simple repair if you don't want to strip
and repaint is to clean the bare spots with a de greaser and sand lightly
with 400 sandpaper to help adhesion, then spray the bare spots with
crackle finish paint (I use a black paint from PEP BOYS). When dry, brush
on some matching water based paint (I got mine from LOWE'S and a perfect
match). When sticky dab it with a stencil brush dipped in the paint. In
most cases you can barely tell where the repairs are. Good luck.
