[HCRA] Information about WWVB Radio-Controlled Clocks

Did you get a new "Radio-Controlled" Clock for Christmas?
If so, wonder how its supposed to work?
Here's a link to the info from the NIST

Note in the coverage maps, that the radiation pattern is broad and
generally SE from Colorado.
Unfortunately, the "advertised" coverage only goes as far as New York &
perhaps SW Connecticut.
Doesn't mean it won't work here in New England, but don't count on it.
Obviously YMMV.
(BTW: I have one in Chicopee, MA that is wonderful 99% of the time., Other
times I've woken
up to find that the clock is off by years and days and minutes.)
