At the Allogagan Lodge Order of the Arrow banquet, which was held
Sunday, April 4th,
Andy Jensen, KB1FVL, and Erik Jensen, KB1FSU, were awarded the Founder's
Award.
The Founder's Award was created by the Order of the Arrow to honor and
recognize
those Arrowmen who have given outstanding service to the Lodge, but also
have a
proven record of service to scouting and the community.
They were both recognized for their re-vitalization of the O/A's
newsletter, which had
fallen into disrepair over the the last years, but also for work that
they do in their
neighborhood and unselfish donation of their time for various scouting
events. On a number
of occaisions they had donated thier time and resources for scouting and
community
events by providing DJ services with thier JX2Productions enterprise, a
DJ service that
they do "in their spare time". They were also recognized for their
service as part of Venture
Crew DX... actually, Ray Williams, Sr., the O/A Advisor reading their
bio at the award
presentation, seemed awe-struck that they even had time to earn their
licenses and operate
ham radio!
Andy and Erik are charter members of Crew DX, and are active with
the Crew and
the HCRA as often as their busy schedule allows!

Please join me in congratulating them on a job well done!
