[HCARC] Anderson Power Pole Question

Question on Anderson Power poles.  They come in different amperages/sizes.  In comparing say a 30 amp power pole which is for 12-14 gauge wire and a 45 amp power pole for 10-12 gauge wire - what changes.  Does only the metal part that clamps to the wire change or does the red/black plastic housing change also??
