Yes. Rubber splicing tape works. We used Scotch 130C for underground splices/repairs. It is available at Lowes, etc., or at Elliott Electric Supply here in Kerrville. It only seals well if STRETCHED twice its length when unrolled from roll and applied to connection. It is waterproof and endures high heat (130*C). Always wrap regular electrical tape over it for armor. Good stuff. 73, KF5AIE
