[HCARC] ARRL Slideshow Availability and Kudo's To Linda Ransom

Thanks Marylin - the problem with being a Newbie and also a Club Officer
(that sounds so official - ugh!!!) is that between Terry and I we have
virtually no "Corporate Knowledge". This presentation is a great example.
Terry did get me about a hundred brochures to save me from trying to get
something printed which was going to be almost impossible since the one
computer with a Word Processor is down for a case of the "FLU". Anyway
there does seem to be a good bit of interest - just have to figure out where
to look for it, and yes we should be ready.

I firmly and wholeheartedly agree with the "lack of time to prepare" problem
and the President (??) or at least coordinator of the Kerr County Preppers
apologized for only contacting Linda on the Monday before the meeting. I
was also surprised that they didn't have anyone from Red Cross show up.

I was asked how we interface with the Kerrville City Disaster Plan and my
comment was I don't have a clue, but I figured we were cited in the plan
somehow, whether we knew it or not.
