Marilyn and all:
At Linda's request, I dropped off ARRL and HCARC brochures at Buzzie's BBQ before the preppers meeting last week. I also left information on how to contact me for licensing classes.
I haven't seen an ARRL Powerpoint that generally promotes ham radio. They may have one; I just haven't found it. There are several short videos I have that I have collected over the years that promote ham radio. I show one as part of the first license class - it is directed toward emergency preparedness. I also have the promotional Powerpoint I created for Club Ed when they did their Expo last year.
Linda - I'd be happy to adapt these materials for a purpose-built presentation for the preppers group - just tell me when and where.
73,
Dale - K4DG

I also suggested she ask Dale Gaudier if he still had some informational brochures that had been used in the classes he taught. It would have been good if more notice had been given for such a presentation. The club probably needs to have additional materials printed for future events such as this. Sam Jones and Calvin Noble have each had some business cards created that state some meeting and contact information related to HCARC.

For a group as large as you mentioned, the visual presentation might be difficult to show at the location you mentioned.

Do we have an already prepared slide show that can be used for a rpesentation to one of their next meetings?? There were over 100 people jammed into Buzzies BBQ meeting room and almost every seat was taken. They are a bunch of people just thirsting for both knowledge and direction.
