Learn how to properly operate "split" on HF, a MUST when  talking to EUs on 
40 meters.
 
Be able to make an HF antenna out of scrap materials without  having to run 
to a book... A MUST when you do emergency communications  work.

Just figured I  would throw my 2 cents worth in.

Its the EE that does the design work,  but the electronic technician that 
makes it work.
