[HBR] 40m osc coil

Very good. I think I will apply the wire/winding wisdom in this
thread to the antenna and RF coils first. That will give me something
that works on 40m, albeit without very good tracking. After I have
2 more coils under the belt I can return to the more difficult osc
coil.
Lots of useful stuff here - will reread tomorrow. Thanks, everyone.
