[HBR] Projects

It really is interesting to read about all the HBR receivers in various states of construction that are still out there. They just keep turning up and many hams recognize them before just parting out "that old project" or trashing it. They will be around for quite some time.
I still have two HBR-16s and a HBR-12 which needs work. That's the one I wrote the section on making IF transformers for. I have acquired enough coil forms to cover them all, although some are a little "rough".
Most of my time lately (relative to electronics) has been spent preparing MicroStar 2000 R/C kits (Encoder, RF deck, and Receiver) and working on several NUE-PSK (PSK-31) projects as part of the AQRP group. I'm also trying to get more involved in programming Microcontrollers since all of the above incorporate them and most projects in the future will.
Nothing beats the glow of a homebrew tube rig, though.
