Hi Steve,

Well, it sure does sound like you're bound & determined to build this rig,
so I'll pass on some "nuggests" to you, all based upon personal experience
here...! Hi Hi

First-off, don't get TOO hung-up about finding / buying the "ultimate"
suitable "enclosure" for your receiver --- MAKE one! I've done it LOTS of
times, using suitably-sized aluminum panels & "L" brackets. Use whatever
chassis you might as the "foundation", & go up from there (hint: it makes
things a LOT easier if you can somehow squeeze in a sheet, or two, of
Reynold's Do-It-Yourself aluminum cane metal in the euation).

As for time --- or a LACK Of it! --- I recall seeing someplace long ago,
wherein a novelist once said that when it comes to writing, if you're
inspired, you can do it standing up in a subway car. Homebrewing to me is
the same. I've built TONS of stuff over the years, & I simply took the
time to MAKE the time. One of my favourite tricks to squeeze more hours
out of the day is to wake-up during the week an hour, or so, earlier than
normal.

NOBODY around to bother you for "honey dews", no kids, no nothing --- just
you & your project. It certainly worked for me, and my enthusiasm for what
I was doing carried the day.

Good luck with whatever you might eventually execute there...
