    I wonder if there are any really early color photos of the 
129. The dials and meter (I have a meter) for my AR-88 are the 
same, the dials are tiger striped, alternately yellow and black. 
The color of both dials and the meter are consistent and other 
AR-88s I've seen were the same. So its possible H decided to make 
their meter a nice, restful yellow.
