He says it does. Furthermore, the very minor mod he suggests (adding V-7 
to the AGC line) is fully and easily reversible.

In fact, from what little I know about AGC circuits, I cannot figure out why 
Hammarlund didn't do what he suggests to begin with. It is so simple.
