[Hammarlund] HQ-180 problem-not the tubes

I have worked on the 60 kc IF's in various HQ-170's and part of the problem 
sounds like the 60 kc IF's need to be aligned.

This alignment is tedious but you must get the selectivity to line up with 
the selectivity knob positions.
Plus the SSB should be properly selected by the sidebands switch.

The AGC on SSB does pump some  and perhaps the AGC upgrades WA8SAJ details 
in the September 2014 Electric Radio starting on page 12 might help.

As WA2CWA said the audio on the Hammarlund receivers with the HC-10 circuits 
((HQ-170 and 180) is not the best as they aim for communications quality 
audio.
