[Hammarlund] HQ-129-X differences in panel finish

     I have an HQ-129-X with a dark gray front panel finish. 
It appears to be considerably darker than the finish shown 
in various illustrations or in photos on the web. Its 
possible its a replacement but the lettering appears to be 
original.  All the stenciling on the front is in white. I 
wonder if the panel is original; did Hammarlund make panels 
in different shades of gray?
