Shouldn't be too difficult, if one can talk the wife into using 
her stove for a while...and if she doesn't mind the smell of 
melting tar, or whatever is in there.

I have a -JX1 that I will restore some time after I retire (April 
30). If mine has one of those iffy chokes, I'll try to re-pot it. 
If that takes place, I'll report back here.
