[Hammarlund] RF generator for HQ-180

Hi,

Guess I may as well put my Tuppence worth in here also 8-)

A couple years or so back I too had a nice AN/URM-25 (don't recall the
letter designator). I sold it when I got a later piece of gear. Said
later gear went "belly up" and left me high and dry. I shulda' kept the
URM. . .

However, for LF work I DO have a nice B&K 3010 function generator that
outputs from .1CPS to 1MCs, Sine, Square or triangle wave that is useful
for IF alignment (with external attenuator). It seems quite stable, AND
can even be "swept" over a 100/1 frequency range by an external source!
For RF alignments I have a homebrewed marker generator that outputs
markers at 5, 4, 2 & 1MC increments OR 500, 100, 50 & 25KC increments.
With variable output and 50 Ohm attenuator I've found it to be VERY
useful for BA alignments!

So, while I can't make "absolute" receiver sensitivity measurements, I
am able to align things quite accurately.
