[Hammarlund] RF generator for HQ-180

I have a 25D and it DOES have the extra output jack (from which I feed
my Heathkit freq counter). Very handy.

I consider old military test gear -- like the AN/URM-25 -- true
bargains for boatanchor service. I don't use them on my high-tech
digital stuff, but for tube-type rigs, they're terrific. These
instruments are full-featured, versatile, accurate, intuitively
operated, virtually bulletproof -- and gray.

Besides the 25D RF signal generator I have ME-26D/U VTVM with AC probe,
an OS-8U oscilloscope, AN/UR-127 audio signal generator and an
AN/URM-120 RF wattmeter (comparable to a Bird 43). This entire
collection -- all working perfectly-- cost less than $200.00. Now I'm
trying to find a nice TV-7 tube tester (which, unfortunately, is not as
bargain-priced).

Besides, the old Navy gear smells like a ship and that brings back some
strong and often fond memories.
