   You don't need any additional wires for a horizontal dipole, but you 
do need a counterpoise wire for an elevated vertical.  There is an 
excellent PDF on the Buddipole site that gives greater detail - it's 
called "Buddipole in the Field" by Scott Andersen, NE1RD.

Yes, you can.  If your interface has audio in/out, you should be all 
set.  My Macbook Pro only has a single audio jack that can be configured 
via Sys Prefs as in or out, but not both simultaneously.  I needed a 
separate USB sound card.
