Eddy,

You've listed your gear.  What you haven't listed is what you want to do
with the Mac and ham radio.

You don't need a computer to do ham radio, so you must have something in
mind that you want to do that requires the computer.

Are you looking to do computer control of the rig?  Logging on a
computer-based logbook?  Digital modes? What is it that you want to
accomplish?  That is much more important to clarify at this point than what
gear you have.

That being said, I'm not an Icom guy...I've used Yaesu and now use Elecraft
with my mac.  I'm sure there are Icom users on the list, however and I'm
sure they'll be glad to help.

So, let us know what you want to do and we can start helping you get on the
air.
