Before SkookumLogger gets to the point where this error happens, it has successfully opened and configured the serial port. AMSerial error code 100 means that the attempt to read the response to the Winkeyer echo test admin command has timed out with nothing read. That tells me that the serial driver is working and the device itself is not: either it doesn’t fully implement the Winkeyer command set, or it is in a bad state. If it were a real Winkeyer I’d advise you to learn how to reset it.
