[Ham-Mac] OS X Fix for Hourly Clock Chime being Transmitted (Dick Kriss)

Dick,

I use a tool named 'Soundsource' (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11334/soundsource)
It is placed in the Finder's menu bar and gives a quick overview of your current sound input/output settings and you can change it without dealing with the system preferences.
