It you look at the web page it says: "Yaesu FT-817, FT-857, FT-897  
(May not work with radios modified for out-of-band). Yaesu does not  
document the memory access commands for these radios and they can  
change at any time."

The FT8x7 drivers in MacMemoriesManager haven't changed since you paid  
full price back in 2006. (Isn't there a statue of limitations for  
writing software ?) Maybe if you look at the debug log it will tell  
you why the radio is sometimes not found ?

BTW Lew, this is really not the most appropriate forum for you to try  
and publicly embarrass me into doing what you want - oh wait - it  
worked Hah ! You tricked me Lew :)
