[Ham-Mac] OS X Time Machine Starting Over

Patricia,

I have seen the same problem.  Sometimes the TM gets confused and
can't do its thing.  The last time it happened I was concerned about
the validity of the backups so I used the Disk Utility to Erase the TM
backup external hard drive partition and started over.  Yes, it takes some
time to start over but you know the new backup is good.
