[Ham-Mac] Logging Software

Hello,
      I am a relatively new Ham and am wondering what my options are  
for software to maintain my logs.  I know about MacLoggerDX and it  
seems pretty cool.  Are there other programs out there that I could  
compare to it?  Also, I have an iMac G5 running OSX 10.4.8 and a  
Yaesu FT-857D Radio.  Is there a simple interface that someone could  
recommend?  I am not too handy with a soldering iron and would prefer  
if someone could point me towards a USB/Serial interface and a cable  
that they have used themselves and know to work well.  Thanks.
