hello Brian,
the problem ist, the satellite connection to your wireless router.
if you solved this, you can connect your eMac with ethernet or wlan
to the router.
(if the eMac has no wlan, there are some usb wlan sticks on the market)
any of your other computer should can connect also via the same
router to the net.
the sharing internet in ur mac is used, if you connect ur mac
directly to the internet, and want the other computers to connect to
the net via ur mac, and not the router.
the sharing will allow to setup ur mac as server, so you can easily
setup a file, html, ftp .... server
the firewall in ur mac, will work in the sameway, regardless of the
kind of internet connection.
