Dick,

Yes, it is very confusing.  I have rechecked the cables etc and they 
are correct.  As a matter of fact they are the same as they were when 
using my G5 with the same set up with the PROIII.  I have all the 
volume sliders turned up and the pots in the SL.  I have checked the 
wiring inside of the SL and it is correct (after all it has been 
working with the  PRO III for a while).  It must be in the computer. 
But I have used both the headphone output from the computer and also 
the Griffin iMic with USB port.  Neither can  trigger the PTT on the 
Pro III.  Both worik just fine after I push the Transmit button on 
the III.

I will call Tigertronics after 3:00 pm here.  The tech line 
(541-862-2639) is only available M,W, and F from 1-5, pacific time.
