[Ham-Mac] SignaLink SL-1+, PRO III - PSK - Transmit

Dick,

I get very confused by the labels Tigertronics uses on the SL-1. The terms
SPKR, Computer (SPKR and Mic) are really confusing. I do not use the SPKR
at all. Never could figure out its purpose. To add to the confusing the
stereo cables supplied by Tigertronics are not color coded so it is very
easy to get them swapped. This get even more confusing if you happen to be
using a Griffin iMic with their labels and the ports are called different
things on different Macs.

Do you have your new Mac setup to transmit out of the correct port? I don't
know if you are using the headset output or the USB port and an iMic.

What happens to your Icom Pro III when you open cocoaModem and make the PSK
panel ACTIVE by mousing on the spectral display, then clicking on the Test
Tone under the PSK Config panel with the Transmitter menu pulled down? It
should key your Icom.

If you skip a step (like fail to put PSK in the ACTIVE mode), you will not
see the Red LED light on the SL-1 and the nothing will go to the rig.

Are you 100% sure you have the correct SL-1 to Rig cable with the correct
SL-1 jumper wires for the new rig? One wire in the wrong hole will hose the
interface

I suspect you have a cockpit issue rather than a hardware problem. If you
have double checked all of the above, you may want to call Tigertronics for
help. Maybe they sent you the wrong cable.
