[Ham-Mac] PIC programing on a MAC?

Well, I am JUST starting down this path myself, so I am far from an 
expert.   The way I am going at it is to work with a program where 
there are very, very good "how to" instructions, and then go looking on 
the Internet or in a basic Unix book to learn about anything that I 
don't understand.

My target program for learning how to assemble Linux programs is 
Xastir, a really nifty APRS program that runs under X11.  See:
