While this is good news indeed, I have seen this type of response for 
other types of software. The rub involves the "how" part. I like to 
think that I'm fairly typical of Mac users when I say anything more 
complex than double clicking a .dmg file is outside the usual scope of 
operations.

Are there any suggestions as to where to learn how to compile linux 
apps in OS X?
