In my experience, Safari is neither a piece of c... or an application
that runs without problems. It will run for a week or more without
problem, then it will simply crash and i will get the message that it
has and my other apps are ok ... etc.

It is software that actually accomplishes something of value. It is,
therefore, not perfect. Ditto for OSX. Eventually safari will crash.
Like any app of any complexity.
