I think that the majority of the Linux programs can indeed be ported to
Mac OS X. If they use a simple command line, the Monitor application
may work but most will need an X11 environment to draw windows. Also
you will need external libraries but these are most likely available
from the Fink project. I have good experience with just giving it a try
to compile the source code and writing to the Linux developer asking
for help on encountered errors. This way I have been able to get TNT
and XASTIR going.
Any particular software you had in mind ?
