I have been using Kubuntu on both my laptop and the main desktop system in the
ham shack and so far I am VERY happy with it. I have also used the
commercial version of SuSe. (about $59) I find the Dbeain based Ubuntu and
it's K desktop counterpart to be more to my liking. I'm currently runing
version 7.04 on all systems. Very easy to insatll and unlike Windows it will
boot from any drive so you can put Linux on a second drive and dual boot
without problems.
