[Ham-Linux] LINUX and Core Duo processor

I'm running Ubuntu 6.06 LTS  on a Core 2 duo E6600 overclocked to 3.2 Gig, 
using  an Nvidia 8600GTS video card and two gigs of corsair pc8500 ram. It 
runs Vmware and Beryl great

Boots just fine just make sure you are using an I386 or I686 smp kernel.

My friend upgraded from AMD to Intel and forgot to install a I386 or I686 
kernel first. Intel does not like to boot on K7 kernels :)
