I don't quite understand what you are after, but yes you can add a second
wireless router to your network (which already has wired/wireless), a
distant wireless router to your wired network, etc. There are some tricks:
set-up second router on a different address than the first but on the same
set of IP addresses (e.g., 1st 192.168.1.1, 2nd 192.168.1.2), second router
has DHCP Server turned off. Can use same SSID (can use different) but
recommend different channel. You will need to set these connected to a PC
without the other router in line since some of the default settings will
conflict with the first router and you won't be able to connect and make
changes.

QTH
I've got a dumb question for the group here because I just don't know. If I
run a CAT 5/6E cable from one of the ports on my home wireless router outto
an out building on my property, can I just put another Linksys wireless
router on the end of it and expect to see the signal or am I missing
something here?
I'm asking because I don't have a spare router to try this on and seems
likeasking the question is a good move prior to buying another router. My
concernis that the existing router will have a problem with another router
on the circuit.
TIA, John
P.S. Using Cox Cable with a standard Motorola Modem & Linksys Wireless
router.
