Jim and all - wonder how you did on JRE V6 U22?  My XP that never hangs continued the fine record and updated to 22 without a hitch; my XP that hung on U21 hung again on U22!  So again, Revo slaughtered it and I did a manual install on U22.

Going to change my strategy: totally removed the XP that hangs from auto update, and will let the auto update on the other XP tell me.  When I an told an update is there, I will manually remove the old one, probably completely clean the Java and Sun folders, check the registry, then go get new update and install from scratch.

I suspect the code coming down to the Windows Installer is not as clean as it needs to be.
