[Ham-Computers] Remote desktop help needed

Here is the complete story:

Both networked computers running XP PRO, service pack 3.

I just set up the computer on the garage workbench and everything worked as 
it should, along with the shack machine.
Network ok and able to communicate between these two machines.

After the install of the remote desktop, all functions between both machines 
worked as it should.

Then, when I tried to access a floppy (double click) on the garage machine 
it would give me the BSOD with "STOP 000000F7"; same thing happens on the 
shack machine.

Before the install of the remote desktop, both floppies worked ok.

I have run virus/Trojan/worm scans and nothing shows up.

I am using Windows remote desktop.
