This error is a KERNEL_MODE_TRAP error. Try reading this page and see

I would turn the remote desktop off on both computers and confirm that
it cures the problem. If not, you would know that it is something
else.

I don't think that a virus is your problem. If I had to guess I would
say you are probably exceeding the limits of your hardware.

Again, are you trying to access the floppy across the network on the
remote machine? Or are you physically at the terminal of the machine
that your trying to access the floppy?
