>From my observation you only have to partition the harddrive and format it by using a floppy boot. The floppy should contain sys.com so you can transfer the system to the hard drive so the computer can boot with it.
Make a startup floppy from the system you plan on using. You will then be able to install a batch file that will run your CD drivers on boot-up.
I see no reason to install a whole operating syatem just to get CD support.
