Jerry,
The Windows XP Home Edition is licensed and is not transferable to anyone
else.
Leaving the legal issues aside, only one installation is allowed. For you to
do a second installation, I think authorization is needed from MS.
Your friend can reinstall his copy on his machine. However, as mentioned
above, I think he first needs authorization from MS.
Normally a business will not install Windows on a machine for a client
unless said client has the installation discs and proper keys. Something
sounds a bit odd here ...
