[Ham-Computers] Spam

Most likely I am not alone with this problem, but it is getting to the stage 
that it is becoming a real hassle.
I receive about 20 to 30 spam email every day. I DO have a (so called) spam 
blocker installed: EZ Armor, furnished by my ISP, Road Runner.
When I receive a spam mail, I click "Block" and then it goes to the spam 
folder. However, every time a spam email comes in, a pop-up shows that I 
have a message in the anti-spam folder. Then, I have to go to that folder 
and either allow or delete the message.
Not a good system because the spam message should just be automatically 
deleted once I block it the first time.
So, all this brings to mind the question: Is there a really good spam 
blocker out there that will automatically delete the blocked messages?
I would appreciate your input on what program(s) you have used.
